“TACO SANTO” is a Mexican taco restaurant in Ghent. It was started in 2018 by Jesica Avalos Contreras and continued by Andrés Villagómez in 2019. After spending some time with her family in Mexico, where she learned the artisanal art of making Mexican corn TORTILLA’s, as well as the SALSA’S OF HER GRANDMOTHER, Jesica returned to Ghent to serve Belgium fresh tacos made from quality and local products. The aim is to break the taboos around Mexican food and bring the AUTHENTIC FLAVORS of Mexican life to Belgium. At ‘Taco Santo’ we try to find the best fresh products non-stop, as close to home as possible, to recreate the real MEXICAN TACO’s.
